Welcome to Allergy and Asthma Research Associates
Allergy and Asthma Associates is one of the oldest allergy-asthma practices in the Pacific Northwest starting in 1938 by James Stroh, Sr. Drs. James Stroh, Jr and Rick Lane Johnson joined Dr. Stroh in a Seattle office in the early 1970s. The initial contingent has recently retired; now the practice includes Drs. Gary Ayars, Charles Jackson, and D. Robert Webb, who practice in two primary locations: Bellevue and Kirkland, Washington. The group is also active in four satellite locations including Monroe and Yakima in Washington State, and in Juneau and Ketchikan, Alaska.
Started years ago by the senior Dr. Stroh, Clinical Research has continued to varying degrees ever since. All our physicians are co-investigators in current studies and all are current primary investigators. Dr. D. Robert Webb brought special research experience and interest to the practice in 1989. In recent years this activity has varied in size and employs two research coordinators who facilitate approximately 8 to 15 separate studies involving about 300 study subjects annually. Sponsoring institutions have recently included Altana, AstraZeneca, Aventis, Glaxo SmithKline, Genentech, Hoffmann LaRoche, Novartis, Sepracor, and Schering Plough Research Institute.
